F1 championship: Lewis Hamilton takes 25 points out of Kimi Antonelli’s lead
By winning the Formula 1 Barcelona Grand Prix while championship leader Kimi Antonelli retired, Lewis Hamilton takes 25 points from the Italian’s lead, with the gap now reduced to 41 points compared to 66 when arriving in Spain. Third-placed, George Russell moves back to within 50 points of his team-mate.
Among the constructors, this is the first GP of 2026 where Mercedes does not score the most points. Alpine once again placed both its drivers in the points.
