Amazon is once again having its popular ‘3 for $33’ movie sale full of some of our favorite 4K picks. Pretty much every movie looks better in 4K, but there’s just something about a high-definition sci-fi movie that hits different. Many of the best sci-fi films from over the years have been remastered in 4K UHD for that very reason. So if you’re looking to pad your movie collection with some masterpieces, this sale is an excellent time to do so while saving some serious cash.
We’ve gone ahead and scoured the full list of movies included in this sale and pulled out all of the sci-fi films for you. All you need to do is add three to your cart and the price of each will automatically drop down to $11 each. You can also mix and match with other sale inclusions if you wish to venture outside of the genre.
4K Sci-Fi Movies are 3 for $33 at Amazon Today
There are a ton of great sci-fi films to choose from here, but there are some obvious highlights I feel obligated to point out. First up is the original Blade Runner, which IGN considers to be the overall best Ridley Scott movie of all time. The Final Cut wasn’t released until 2007, but it’s the purest form of the movie and absolutely worth grabbing if you haven’t already seen it. The newer sequel, Blade Runner 2049, is also included in the sale if you want the whole collection.
Next up is Dune: Part Two. I saw this movie in theaters and was absolutely blown away by the experience. The pacing, the visuals, the music, it all just came together beautifully. With Dune: Part 3 hitting theaters later this year, now is a great time to pick up the first and second movies at a discount. It’s hard to think of a recent sci-fi movie more deserving of 4K visuals than Dennis Villeneuve’s masterpiece.
My last recommendation on this list is for Edge of Tomorrow. It’s got mech suits, aliens, and Tom Cruise dies probably like a thousand times. If you love the concept of Groundhog’s Day but with an apocalyptic war as the setting, this movie is absolutely for you.

If you’re looking for more than just sci-fi, it’s absolutely worth checking out the larger list of inclusions. The sale has popular new movies like Zach Cregger’s Weapons as well as classics like Jaws. There’s a little bit there for everyone.
