“I would like to offer you the job of a lifetime.” Prime Video and Gaumont launched their full official trailer for an epic art heist comedy called Masterplan, arriving to watch for streaming on PV starting in October this fall. This looks fun! The French-Italian Prime Original film follows a legendary thief who recruits two young strangers to help him steal the Mona Lisa from the Louvre in Paris, before revealing that he is their father. Thrown into a chaotic reunion they never asked for, this new family must learn to work together—and try not to kill each other—if they want any chance at pulling off the heist of the century. The heist? The Mona Lisa, though perhaps there’s more trickery going on. Stanley Tucci stars as the art thief Roger, along with Simona Tabasco as Chiara and Victor Belmondo and Jay. Filmed around France & Italy, of course. This is skipping theaters and heading directly to streaming next month, which seems like perhaps the best plan for this one. It looks like tons of fun, but could anyone truly steal the Mona Lisa? Then what happens?
