Do you want to know if there are any post-credits scenes in Masters of the Universe? We’ll tell you right here: There sure are! You’ll want to stay through all the credits. Read on for more…
Masters of the Universe brings the iconic toy and cartoon franchise back to the big screen in live-action for the first since the 1987 movie starring Dolph Lundgren. This new film runs 2 hours, 13 minutes, which is just long and bladder-filling enough to make one wonder whether they should stick around to see if there are any post-credits scenes.
We’re here to tell you that, yes, you should stay all the way until the very end of the film credits.
Amazon MGM Studios, Mattel and production company Escape Artists are clearly hoping this Travis Knight-directed movie is a big screen franchise-starter as Masters of the Universe has four post-credits scenes that hint at what’s in store should there be a sequel.
Bookmark this page and check back here this Friday, June 5, for our full breakdown of what’s shown in the four end credits and what Masters of the Universe 2 could explore.
Until then check out IGN’s Masters of the Universe review, which Clint Gage scored an 8 out of 10: “Masters of the Universe is so much funnier than I expected, and the fight scenes are choreographed and photographed in a way that gives the sequences just enough flair to make them stand out (even if they’re not revolutionizing superhero style fisticuffs on screen). While Nicholas Galitzine and Idris Elba provide the thematic structure to the film, Jared Leto’s Skeletor gives a delightfully weird and cartoonish energy to every scene he’s in. It’s a film that appreciates the source material, silly names and all, and proves the best way to add to a 50-year-old franchise that’s about toys as much as anything else is to not take it too seriously.”
