Square Enix has been building up excitement for Final Fantasy VII Revelation with all sorts of announcements in recent weeks, and during the latest Nintendo Direct, it revealed Crisis Core -Final Fantasy VII- Reunion for Switch 2.

It’s available now on the eShop, and is currently on sale for $34.99 USD instead of $49.99 USD. Unfortunately, there is no upgrade path for existing owners. Here’s information from Nintendo’s official PR about Zack’s adventure and the experience on the Switch 2:

“Follow the story of Shinra SOLDIER operative Zack Fair in this remaster of the action RPG that takes place seven years before the events of FINAL FANTASY VII. As Zack teams up with Sephiroth to investigate the disappearance of a fellow SOLDIER, he uncovers dark secrets that challenge everything he believes, forcing him to forge his own path as a hero to protect the ones he loves.

Available later today on Nintendo Switch 2 with a complete HD graphics overhaul of the character models, UI and background, fully voiced dialogue in English and Japanese, an updated action combat system and a newly arranged soundtrack by original composer Takeharu Ishimoto.”

This title was previously released on the original Switch in December 2022. You can find out more about it in our review here on Nintendo Life. In some related news, digital pre-orders for Final Fantasy VII Revelation have also gone live on the Switch 2.
