Sega has released a new trailer for Crazy Taxi: World Tour, this time giving us a glimpse at the game’s new multiplayer mode.
It’s basically Crazy Taxi with friends, which is something we always dreamed of when cruising around the West Coast in the Dreamcast original. It looks like World Tour will support up to four players at a time, with each participant driving a different coloured vehicle with unique boost effects.
“More friends, more fares, more fun! Get a first look at the Multiplayer in Crazy Taxi: World Tour and see how you can go crazy, together. See the multiplayer action first-hand in the Closed Network Test – signups available until August 31st, 2026!”
Speaking of that network test… Unfortunately it’s not available on the Switch 2. So if you’re keen to give it a try, you’ll need to do so on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, or PC. Could be worth applying just to get a feel for it ahead of its release in 2027, mind you.
We’ll keep an eye out for more updates in the coming weeks and months. Needless to say, we’re eager to see what the final release date will be. Could it be early 2027, or is this thing more than year away? Hopefully not the latter.
