WWE did a slick marketing gimmick on its television over the past few weeks by having random cuts to what appeared to be an updated video of CM Punk cutting his infamous Pipe Bomb promo. It turns out, it was all to sell some video games, a promotional tool for WWE 2K26:
“I have a lot of things that I want to get off my chest. I am the best in the world. I am the best wrestler in the world. I have been the best since day one when I walked into this company, and I was hated and vilified for it. Paul Heyman saw something in me that nobody else wanted to admit. That’s right, I was a Paul Heyman Guy. You know who else was a Paul Heyman Guy? Roman Reigns. But the biggest difference between Roman Reigns and me is that I am the world heavyweight champion.
“The only thing that’s real is me and the fact that day in and day out I have proven to the world that I am the best in that ring, on this microphone, even at commentary! Nobody can touch me! I am on your lovely little collector cups, I’m on the cover of the program, I am on the poster of WrestleMania, I am the WWE 2K26 cover athlete as I should be. I am no longer silenced. You all have to acknowledge me. I am the best in the world, and the show never stops.”
That’s a pretty slick way to get a few more pre-orders ahead of the Friday release, and according to our man it’s a game worthy of picking up as soon as you possibly can. Read why here.
