I know what I’m getting myself into.” Paramount Pictures has revealed their official trailer for The Rescue, a dog movie + action thriller + cowboy vengeance story jumble of everything in one generic script. Nothing will stand between him, his dog, and his daughter. Well, of course not, that’s the American way! Man must save woman always! Ugh. Brandon Sklenar stars as a former rodeo cowboy who takes matters into his own hands when his daughter is kidnapped for ransom. With her devoted dog by his side, he sets out to bring her home and will stop at nothing to find her. Starring Sklenar as “The Cowboy”, with Josh Lucas, Hassie Harrison, Lorelei Olivia Mote, Nick Searcy, Austin Amelio, Spencer Treat Clark, Tim Blake Nelson, and Josh Duhamel. It looks excruciatingly cheese with all these cliche “I am the good guy taking out the bad guys” tropes. Don’t mess with this cowboy.
