“I’m the one who’s going to keep us from sinking into chaos!” Bring on the mayhem. Warner Bros unveiled their second & final official trailer for Digger, the original new Tom Cruise movie directed by Alejandro G. Iñárritu that’s hitting theaters starting in October this fall. We finally now what is going on – Digger Rockwell tries to clean up his own disaster that he’s unleashed upon the world. Will he pull it off? Or just mess things up even more? The most powerful man in the world, a greedy oil barren, embarks upon a frantic mission to prove he is humanity’s savior before the disaster he’s unleashed (a giant apocalyptic Greenland iceberg known as Judy) destroys everything. Cruise stars as Mr. Digger Rockwell, with Jesse Plemons, Sandra Hüller, Riz Ahmed, Sophie Wilde, Emma D’Arcy, Robert John Burke, Burn Gorman, Michael Stuhlbarg, John Goodman. With cinematography by maestro Emmanuel Lubezki reuniting with Innaritu again after Birdman & The Revenant. The more they show, the more it’s obvious – this is Dr. Strangelove for the modern times, playing up the absurdity of this situation as all these big wigs try to solve the problem. After the first official trailer divided audiences, this one looks better. And we finally get to hear a few lines by Sandra Hüller speaking in the footage. I’m ready! Let’s see what they’ve been cookin’ up here.
