AEW head honcho Tony Khan just went live on his X from today’s ROH tapings in Jacksonville, Florida to lead a tribute to the dearly departed Ben Slattery AKA Pac. To the live crowd, and those assembled, he also confirmed that this Wednesday’s episode of AEW Dynamite will indeed be a tribute to Pac.
Khan had already posted one tribute to Pac on his social media soon after the news broke, but he was clearly and rightfully still tearing up as he spoke of Benjamin, including his time as Neville in WWE as well as his time as Pac in AEW, calling him “one of the best people I’ve ever known.” Khan then led a ten bell salute to the much loved star, before going on to speak of starting AEW and how Pac was there from the early days, and how Ben was a huge part of his life outside of wrestling too.
Khan then confirmed to the crowd in attendance and on the live that this Wednesday’s episode of Dynamite in Pittsburgh will be a tribute show to Pac – fittingly as Pac was in the main event of the very first Dynamite against Jon Moxley. He closed by thanking the fans live and the fans who have supported Pac through his career, and those who had shared memories of the man Benjamin Slattery, saying Ben is “a first class person” who will “leave a legacy that will last forever.”
