“It’s a birth. The birth of a new humanity.” Time for more! After the first teaser last week, Well Go USA has dropped another new official trailer for the Korean zombie horror movie Colony coming out this year. It’s announced for a 2026 Cannes Film Festival Midnight premiere in May then it will hit US theaters at the end of August later this summer. Directed by the same K-zombie mastermind behind the movies Seoul Station, Train to Busan, Peninsula, and many others recently. Yeon Sang-ho returns to his zombie roots for Colony, about a virus that infects people so they quarantine the entire facility. It follows survivors trapped inside a Korean high-rise during a zombie outbreak. At a biotech conference, a rapidly mutating virus is unleashed. As the outbreak spreads and the infected begin to transform, they seal off the building. Starring Gianna Jun, Koo Kyo-hwan, Ji Chang-wook, Shin Hyun-been, Kim Shin-rock, Go Soo. The real “colony” aspect of this is finally revealed – it’s some sort of “mutant zombie monster” creation hivemind linked by all this gooey white stuff.
