Another Radical Teaser for ‘Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2’ Sci-Fi Sequel​

“What kind of Edgerunner are you?!” Holy awesome! Netflix has unveiled a third teaser trailer for the sci-fi anime series Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2, the next season set in the Cyberpunk universe. This footage is totally wild! Digital chaos. Ready for streaming starting in October this fall. The first teaser dropped a year ago, and the second teaser hit earlier this summer – they’re finally ready for a fall release for this futuristic series. This intense action thriller anime series is set in the world of (the video game) Cyberpunk 2077 – it’s produced by TRIGGER under the supervision of CD Projekt RED. Featuring a bunch of characters from the first series and even more new ones. It’s a continuation of the original Edgerunners anime series which first launched on Netflix in 2022 (watch the trailer). Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 will mark the directorial debut of Kai Ikarashi, with Ichigo Kanno as lead character designer, and Bartosz Sztybor back as showrunner on this cyberpunk thriller. A raw chronicle of redemption and revenge. In a city that thrives in the spotlight of violence, one question remains: when the world is blinded by spectacle, what extremes do you have to go to make your story matter? Obviously all the way this time! This is a must watch for every sci-fi geek out there.

Director Kai Ikarashi (Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, SSSS.Gridman) brings a bold, cinematic vision to the series, supported by the lead character designer Kanno Ichigo (Promare, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners). They’re joined by returning collaborators Masahiko Otsuka (Gurren Lagann, Promare) and Hugo Award winner Bartosz Sztybor as the series showrunner, writer, and producer. Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 is created in collaboration with CD PROJEKT RED and animation studio TRIGGER, with a planned release on Netflix coming up soon.
