Aniimo, the Free-to-Play, Pokémon-Like RPG, Joins the September Madness on PS5 1

Look, it’s just kinda ridiculous now. The next couple of months are insane, and games just keep getting release dates within that time frame.

Aniimo is one of them, recently confirmed to make its debut on PS5 on 16th September 2026.

This news comes via a new trailer:

If you’re out of the loop, Aniimo is a free-to-play, creature-collecting RPG in which you catch the titular Aniimo critters and can then transform into them as you explore the world.

While transformed, you can use their unique abilities to help you capture more Aniimo and do battle with them, including some more powerful, boss-like creatures. Like Pokémon, there are elemental effects and weaknesses to consider during fights.

The official language about the game says nothing about gacha mechanics, but apparently there have been some that have appeared during beta testing, so it seems like that’s the sort of game Aniimo will be.

If you’re into that, the game launches in a matter of weeks on PS5.
