All Elite Wrestling returns to pay-per-view tonight (July 26) with Redemption 2026. The show comes our way from Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
The event begins at 6 pm ET with the Buy In pre-show on YouTube. That leads right into the PPV main card at 7 pm ET. Fans in the USA can purchase it from PPV.com, HBO Max, Amazon, DAZN, and YouTube, or their cable or satellite provider. The show is also available on MyAEW for fans in Canada, the UK, and international markets.
Tony Khan’s new AEW PPV has the wrong name
Redemption is a brand new pay-per-view event on AEW’s calendar, expanding All Elite’s expected PPV count for the year up to 10 total, or almost one per month.
The original main event of this card was reportedly going to be MJF defending the AEW world title against Kenny Omega. With the clock ticking down on Omega’s career, it would have been an obvious story of redemption for Kenny in Montreal after he failed to beat MJF for the world title earlier this year. However, MJF’s body got really banged up while the scumbag was busy being a fighting champion. Their title match was instead moved up to Dynamite Beach Break, where Omega got his redemption and won the championship. MJF is now taking time off to recover ahead of AEW’s biggest show of the year, All In London.
The PPV-worthy main event and title change at Beach Break made for one of the best episodes of Dynamite in 2026. However, it left the Redemption PPV without a main event match of its own. Tony Khan’s solution was to push TNT Champion Kevin Knight as Kenny’s challenger for this show, because Knight was previously owed a title match by MJF.
Knight is no stranger to challenging for the AEW world championship, as he already fought Darby Allin for the title back in May. However, this is still a big jump up the card for The Jet, who has not previously been presented as a PPV main event star in AEW. There is also no story of redemption here, because that story was already told at Beach Break. Even though Omega and Knight will work their asses off to have a great match, this does feel like a filler main event in some ways, with so many fans looking ahead to Omega vs. Will Ospreay next month at Wembley Stadium.
Looking up and down the card for Redemption, there isn’t really any match that is a good fit for the theme, which makes me think Tony Khan chose the wrong name for AEW’s brand new pay-per-view. However, one concept that isn’t new is that AEW always delivers incredible action on these PPV nights, even when the main attraction is lacking in starpower or doesn’t have the most compelling story behind it. The best part is that Tony has listened to criticism about AEW PPV shows ending too late, so the start time for this show has been bumped up by one hour. Redemption might need that extra time to cram in all the released WWE stars who could potentially surprise the wrestling world by signing with AEW and debuting tonight.

Will Kevin Knight prove that he deserves to be a main event star in AEW going forward? Will any of those ex-WWE stars who are now free agents show up to steal all the headlines? Thekla (c) vs. Willow Nightingale for the AEW women’s world championship
Willow pulled off some kind of crazy magic trick when she vacated the TBS title due to injury, only to return one week after a new champ was crowned to win a Casino Gauntlet match and earn this world title shot at Redemption. Thekla’s run with the gold is suddenly in big trouble because Mercedes Mone awaits the winner next month at All In, and it makes more sense for her to fight a popular babyface like Nightingale. If any match on this card fits the theme of redemption I suppose it’s this one, but Willow wasn’t out long enough for this to feel like a major story of redemption.
Young Bucks vs. Will Ospreay & Jon Moxley
The Young Bucks think their Elite pal Kenny Omega is playing too nice with his All In opponent, Will Ospreay. Matt and Nick don’t trust Will after he officially joined the Death Riders. I don’t blame them, considering that Ospreay just helped Moxley lay out Matt and Nick on the go home episode of Collision, after the Bucks beat the Death Riders’ C-Team (Daniel Garcia & Wheeler Yuta). It won’t be nearly as easy for the Bucks to beat the Death Riders’ A-Team at Redemption. This could very well be the match of the night, as is often the case whenever the Bucks or Ospreay are wrestling.
Christian Cage & Adam Copeland (c) vs. PAC & Claudio Castagnoli for the AEW world tag team titles
Cope & Cage’s feud with The Dogs was rudely interrupted by most of the Death Riders, who joined forces with the heels to beat down the old guys. The champs successfully defended their belts against the Death Riders’ C-Team (Daniel Garcia & Wheeler Yuta) shortly after that happened, so now the Death Riders’ B-Team is getting their shot at the gold on PPV.
“The Painmaker” Chris Jericho vs. “Psycho Killer” Tommaso Ciampa in No Holds Barred
Jericho and Ciampa fought for the first time at Dynamite Beach Break. Tommaso used a bucket of sand to propel himself to victory, and then wanted to power drill through Jericho’s skull. Both men liked hurting each other so much that they’re doing it again, this time with No Holds Barred. There will be blood in this very violent rematch, especially because Jericho is bringing back The Painmaker gimmick. Drilling through someone’s skull is perfectly legal this time, at least in kayfabe.
Kyle Fletcher (c) vs. Bandido for the AEW International championship
Brody King and ROH World Champion Bandido dominated some jabronis on Dynamite a couple weeks ago. Their post-match celebration spilled over into a Kyle Fletcher promo backstage, where Bandido slapped a WANTED poster at his chest. Kyle didn’t appreciate that, so now they’re fighting for his belt tonight. Fletcher also decided to ask for everyone to be banned from ringside when fellow Callis Family champion Kevin Knight teased that Kyle needed help to win. Things escalated when Bandido and Fletcher brawled a couple days ago at San Diego Comic-Con, setting the stage for this one to get really heated tonight.
Mark Davis (c) vs. Andrade El Idolo for the AEW National championship
Andrade wants to take championship gold away from the Don Callis Family after turning on them last month at Forbidden Door. He beat Callis thugs Jake Doyle and Brian Cage in separate matches this month, so now Andrade gets a title shot against Mark Davis on PPV. Grand Slam Mexico is coming up on Aug. 5, so Andrade has a chance to walk into Arena Mexico as an AEW champion if he can beat one more Callis guy tonight. But does he have a strategy for dealing with Don’s 501 other family members if they all decide to interfere?
Hikaru Shida (c) vs. Maya World for the TBS championship
Shida turned heel shortly after returning to AEW, and she won a Survival of the Fittest match earlier this month to claim the vacated TBS championship. Now she’s going around saying the letters TBS stand for The Best is Shida. The ruthless champ didn’t waste much time injuring Harley Cameron and taking out Queen Aminata. Underdog babyface Maya World made the save when Shida tried to beat Aminata’s ass with a kendo stick after their title match. That was enough for World to earn a championship match against Shida tonight at Redemption.
Jay White & Juice Robinson vs. David Finlay & Clark Connors in a Double Chain tag team match
After missing more than one full year due to injury, Jay White made his surprise return at Forbidden Door to screw The Dogs over in their AEW world tag team championship match. David Finlay retaliated against the Bang Bang Gang with shillelagh attacks. Both factions have also used humor to mock each other, with Bang Bang Gang putting The Dogs up for adoption, while The Dogs want to make AEW a safe space from Gunns. The jokes are over tonight at Redemption when the teams are chained together, which guarantees there is no way to escape the violence and pain.
Jack Perry vs. Speedball Bailey vs. Komander vs. Beast Mortos vs. Nick Wayne vs. El Clon in a 6-way ladder match for a shot at the AEW International title
This is the thrilling Cool Moves spotfest of the night (with ladders!) to determine which of these stars gets a future match for the AEW International Champion match. Komander, Mortos, and Clon have been away from AEW due to visa issues, so it doesn’t seem like they have much of a chance to win. Speedball Bailey is probably the favorite as the local hero from Quebec. But you can never rule out Jungle Man, who just recently re-signed with AEW and is already having championship opportunities fall out of the sky, almost like he is blatantly copying CM Punk.
The Conglomeration (c) vs. Lethal Twist for the AEW world trios championship [pre-show]
Jay Lethal, Blake Christian, and Lee Johnson have been trying to impress Ricochet, perhaps with the goal of joining The Demand. Both groups are targeting The Conglomeration, who received an assist last night on Collision when Jeff Jarrett smashed a guitar over Ricochet’s very bald head. If Orange Cassidy, Roderick Strong, and Kyle O’Reilly can retain their belts here, then Ricochet & GOA may be coming after them next.
Celebrating 80 years of the Rougeau wrestling dynasty [pre-show]
Tonight’s event takes place in Quebec, so this one is pretty self-explanatory.
