“There are worse things than strangers out there, yank.” Neon has debuted the extra creepy official trailer for the Irish horror film titled Hokum, ready to open in early May – kicking off the summer movie season in a few months. The first teaser appeared in December and was also freaky. A scarily anticipated follow-up from Irish director Damian McCarthy after his unsettling wooden man horror Oddity from 2024. An author travels to a remote part of Ireland to spread the ashes of his now deceased parents, unaware that his rented accommodation – an Irish inn – could be haunted by a vengeful witch. American actor Adam Scott (who is 1/4 Irish) stars as horror writer Ohm Bauman; with David Wilmot, Austin Amelio, Florence Ordesh, Peter Coonan, Michael Patric, and Will O’Connell.
