WWE NXT RESULTS AND LIVE BLOG FOR MAR. 10

Girl ain’t no kindness in the face of strangers, ain’t gonna find no miracles here. Well you can wait on your blessings my darling, but I got a deal for you right here. I ain’t looking for prayers or pity, I ain’t coming ’round searching for a crutch. I just want someone to talk to and a little of that human touch as I liveblog this here pro wrestling show for you, folks.

The show opens with a recap of NXT Vengeance Day.

Freshly-minted NXT Women’s North American Champion Tatum Paxley makes her entrance and gets on the mic to thunderous “You deserve it!” chants. She says for her entire life she’s been trying to be noticed and to find friendship, and she’d play with her dolls and wonder if this was all worth it, if she should try being just a little less… Tatum.

But at Vengeance Day it all became clear. She didn’t win the title because of the Culling or because somebody else carried her to it, but because of all the fans kept her going. Now she’s standing in the ring, title around her waist, feeling the confidence that she belongs that she’s been waiting for her entire life.

The truth is she won the NXT Women’s Championship for the Culling, for Izzi Dame, but she won this North American Championship for all of us, and she realized that Tatum Paxley is never and–

Enter Izzi Dame.

She says beating her must have been the best day of Tatum’s life, but why don’t we remind everyone who she used to be? She rolls video on Tatum Paxley’s entire career from tryouts to Diamond Mine, to turning on Ivy Nile and says it’s truly inspiring how Paxley found herself and she’d be touched if it weren’t so painfully fake.

Tatum hasn’t found anything, she’s just trying to convince everyone she’s anything but the same weirdo outcast she’s been since day one, and this is just another mask. She hasn’t found herself, she hasn’t found anything, and she’s not the weirdo of NXT, she’s the chameleon of NXT. She’s kind of impressed, actually, how do you keep pretending like that?

And then eventually that unlovable girl will come out and everyone will see what Dame knows, that champion or no champion, Tatum will always be desperately trying to fit in. So she hopes she enjoys borrowing the title but she wants it back now. Paxley turns and runs into Shawn Spears and Niko Vance on the apron before turning back to Izzi and getting laid out.

Dame holds the title high over Tatum’s fallen body and we cut away.

Ricky Saints confronts “All Ego” Ethan Page backstage over throwing the title too hard on Saturday.

Ego says he knew the second it left his hand and Ricky complains that they’re both naked now, but tonight when they beat those two cornballs, they’ll be on their way back to their titles. Ethan says he’s right, this is a blemish, a hiccup, and Saints talks about being two-time champs, the both of ’em.

Jasper Troy makes his entrance to send us to break.

Eli Knight vs. Jasper Troy vs. Sean Legacy

Knight and Legacy team up on Troy, he catches them both, shrugs Sean off his shoulders and chokeslams Eli into him! Working them both over in turn in the corner, whip across, Knight with a boot up, big right hands, Jasper throws him off and shoulder blocks him down! Scoop and Eli floats over, Legacy with a superkick, Superkick Party sends the big man to the floor but he’s still on his feet!

Sean takes Eli into the corner, Knight turns him around, right hands, front chancery, Legacy fights out and Keanu Carver Rock Bottoms Troy through the damn announce desk! Carver gets in Booker T’s face and tells him to keep his name out of his mouth and stop playing with him and we go to break!

Up on the second, missile dropkick connects, Sean rolls to the floor and Knight follows it with a huge plancha! Back inside, springboard moonsault… NOPE! Knight slips out of a backbreaker rack, trading staggering right hands, enzuigiri gets an uppercut, baseball slide takes a returning Troy out, Sean and Eli back and forth, Legacy hits a Spanish Fly! Jasper climbs back in the ring, stampedes Sean into the corner! Body check drops Knight, chokeslam is sloppy but it drops Legacy!

Hurting, clutching his ribs, Troy breathing hard, trying to capitalize, hossing Eli up, stampeding him into Legacy, fireman’s carrying both of them… DOUBLE SAMOAN DROP! Big chokeslam on Knight… LEGACY BREAKS IT UP! Duck a lariat, off the ropes, Eli breaks up the Black Hole Slam, Sean with a running shiranui and he goes to the apron, springboard 450 splash connects! Knight off the top, moonsault, double cover…

Eli Knight and Sean Legacy both win by pinfall with lateral presses.

Post-match, Knight and Legacy are stunned but shake hands and raise each other’s hands.

Tatum Paxley is looking for Izzi Dame backstage and she runs into Shiloh Hill.

Hill says he hasn’t seen her, Paxley says she wants to see Izzi before she goes, and Shiloh, holding a tire iron, says he thinks he can solve that and the two of them scamper off giggling.

Birthright talk about convincing Charlie Dempsey and Lexis King asks Uriah Connors if he made the call. He says he didn’t, but his dad did, and “they” are on their way.

And we’re off to break.

Birthright (Lexis King & Uriah Connors) vs. No Quarter Catch Crew (Charlie Dempsey & Tavion Heights)

Dempsey and Connors to start, fast-paced mat exchanges, snapmare to a cover for Uriah, Test of Strength, whip across, back to the Test of Strength, Charlie bridges him over, steps over, double chickenwing, into the Cattle Mutilation! Dempsey runs in and sends Lexis to the floor, Connors boots him to the floor, Tavion with a suicide spear and all four men are brawling on the floor!

Heights and Dempsey hug in glorious reunion… AND WILLIAM REGAL AND FIT FINLAY ARE HERE! Charlie looks at them and suplexes Heights! Throwing him inside, Lexis takes advantage…

Birthright win by pinfall with Coronation from Lexis King on Tavion Heights.

Post-match, Dempsey nods at his father and goes into the ring to stand tall with Birthright.

The Culling are walking backstage when the sound of car alarms goes off and then go out side to find their car up on blocks and a smiling Shiloh Hill walks to the door, tire iron in hand. Robert Stone appears to ask what happened and Hill says he didn’t know which car was the Culling’s so he took all the tires off all the cars and scampers off.

Stone goes to get yelled at by the Culling.

Tony D’Angelo is shown walking backstage to send us to break.

Back from commercial, Tony D’Angelo makes his entrance and gets on the mic.

He says when he returned to NXT he told the WWE Universe he came back for two reasons. The first mission was Darkstate, and that culminated at Vengeance Day when he and Dion Lennox went to war, and while he despises that man, he went out on his shield. He left Darkstate beaten, empty, and looking for answers, just like they left him.

So now we get to reason two as to why he returned. While he was away he had some time to reflect and he considered his future. He looked the man in the mirror and had to be honest– there was one thing that man couldn’t accomplish, that he was incapable of achieving, and in that moment he decided to bury that version of himself and give way to the man that stands before you now, the toughest son of a bitch in NXT.

The second reason he came back is to win the NXT Championship. Joe Hendry may be a sensation in NXT, and he’s got no issue with him, and if this was him a year ago he’d say they should have a sitdown and break some bread, but that’s not him anymore. If he has to break Joe’s face, that’s what he’ll do.

And he’d love to say this is just business, but it’s personal to him, and this is Hendry’s one warning. Prepare yourself for Tony’s actions, because he will not be denied, and Tony D’Angelo will be the next NXT Champion.

Sol Ruca is warming up backstage when Lola Vice rolls up to chat.

Ruca congratulates her on her win and Vice gives her a pep talk ahead of her title match next week and says it’ll be the two of them fighting for the title at Stand & Deliver.

Fatal Influence make their entrance to send us to break.

Back from commercial, Wren Sinclair and Kendal Grey are hanging out with Myles Borne, congratulating him on his title win.

He asks if they’ve seen his tag partner and they know exactly where to find him. They walk down the hall to a refrigerator and say his name, but he isn’t in the fridge. He appears looking into the fridge and apologizes for being MIA but says Borne has him the rest of the night.

We cut over and Kendal is fist deep in a sheet cake that was in the fridge, just stone cold scarfing handfuls of cake into her mouth. I could really go for some cake, come to think of it.

Lainey Reid vs. Sol Ruca

Feeling out, Ruca with a wristlock, grinding her down, Reid gets away and gets a pep talk from Jacy Jayne. Front kick, Sol catches the second kick, Lainey rolls through, leg pick, side headlock, shot off, shoulder block! Headlock takeover, bridging into a pin, Ruca reverses into a pin of her own, counters with a headscissors!

Sol with a slam, charging into the corner, monkey flip, headscissors sends Lainey to the floor… KICKFLIP MOONSAULT TAKES HER OUT AS JACY STARES ON! Fallon Henley runs interference so Jacy can distract Sol and Reid lands a double stomp to send us to break!

Back from commercial, Ruca with elbows in the corner, surfboard stomp into the turnbuckles! Charging in, Reid sidesteps the backsplash, back body drop puts her on the apron, laying kicks in, spiking the turnbuckle into Sol’s face, back inside with a Stunner… NO DEAL! Ruca back in it with uppercuts, big German suplex out of the corner, off the second for a missile dropkick!

Kip-up, fired up, running knee, folding press for two! Reid gets a big nearfall, Gory Special countered, sunset flip nearfall and an X-Factor connects! Fireman’s carry into an Air Raid Crash… STILL NO! Lainey springboards into a superkick, sidesteps the Sol Snatcher, running crucifix driver connects!

Reid takes the knee pad down, Sol sidesteps, springboard into the flip…

Sol Ruca wins by pinfall with the Soul Snatcher.

Robert Stone is chatting with Speed champion Elio Lafleur and Sean Legacy and Eli Knight backstage.

Lafleur wants to defend against Legacy and Knight without a tournament but Stone says he’s stuck with the rules he inherited and he’ll work something out.

Vanity Project roll up to say nobody cares about the Speed title and talk some trash, and when they leave, Sean Legacy says to put a pin in the Speed title because they want to do something about Vanity Project, and Stone says he likes where he’s going.

Wren Sinclair makes her entrance, flanked by Kendal Grey, to send us to break.

Back from commercial, Blake Monroe is interviewed backstage.

She says Stand & Deliver is coming up and it’ll be her first, so it’ll be all about her. She’s the conversation and the controversy and what will she do?

Tatum Paxley rolls up to ask if either of them have seen Izzi Dame and they haven’t.

Thea Hail vs. Wren Sinclair (WWE Speed Women’s Championship #1 Contender’s Tournament Finals)

Darkstate say they’re not doing anything until they get their rematch, OTM roll up late and a brawl breaks out as we go to break!

Back from commercial, Jacy Jayne is interviewed with Fatal Influence backstage.

She says she doesn’t need to be reminded she has to beat Sol Ruca and Zaria again next week, and this is the most unpredictable WrestleMania season ever with all these new champions, and clearly the odds are stacked against her.

Fallon Henley steps up to scoff at Wren Sinclair challenging her, and NQCC roll up. Sinclair says she can beat Fallon in five and Kendal Grey challenges Jacy if she manages to keep her title next week.

The Culling are walking in a loading bay when Tatum Paxley finally finds Izzi Dame and a brawl breaks out! Robert Stone arrives with security to break it up and tells Dame she can have her rematch next week… INSIDE OF A STEEL CAGE!

Ethan Page and Ricky Saints make their entrance to send us to break.

Back from commercial, Robert Stone is interviewed backstage.

He says next week is his first road show as interim general manager and he talks up the card and informs us both Darkstate and OTM are out of the tournament.

Vanity Project roll up to be excited about having a few weeks off but he tells them they have a six-man tag against Los Americanos, and he’s got one more big thing he’s gonna leave to Vic Joseph.

Vic tells Booker T that next week is in his home town and they were only supposed to be a commentary team for three months and now it’ll be going on three years, so next Tuesday will be Booker T Appreciation Night!

“All Ego” Ethan Page & “Absolute” Ricky Saints vs. Joe Hendry & Myles Borne

Hendry and Saints to start, headlock takeover, counter the headscissors, do it in the other direction, stalemate. Ricky with palm strikes, whip across, shoulder block sends him over, Page comes in, hip tosses from Joe for both heels! Tag to Borne, delayed vertical suplex assisted with a dropkick!

Myles slams Ricky, cover for two! Waistlocks and standing switches, Saints rams him into the corner, ducks Ethan, takes him off the apron with a right hand but Ricky takes advantage and hits a back suplex! All Ego with a stomp, right hands, Myles gets a fisherman suplex for two! Saints goes to throw a title in for Page but he chucks it so hard it slides in one side of the ring and goes out the other!

Page and Saints bicker as we go to break!

Back from commercial, Saints pulls Hendry off the apron to deny Borne the tag! Page clobbers Myles in the corner, whip to the corner, uppercut, tag to Ricky! Double-teams, assisted tornado DDT, Hendry breaks it up by shoving All Ego into the pin! Blind tag, Saints with a superplex, Ethan with the diving splash… SO CLOSE!

Tags made, Hendry dropping ’em with lariats, swinging neckbreaker for All Ego, fallaway slam for Saints! Kip-up, duck under, hoss Ethan up, Attitude Adjustment connnects! “All Ego” Ethan Page & Ricky Saints win by pinfall with Twisted Grin from Page on Joe Hendry.

Post-match, Borne stares Page down until Saints slides in to celebrate with his buddy!
