“Welcome back to Taco Gary’s! Check your weapons in with me, sir.” Archstone Entertainment revealed the official trailer for Operation Taco Gary’s, a wacky sci-fi comedy from filmmaker Mikey K making his first feature film. This indie film first premiered at the 2024 Austin Film Festival a few years back, and it also played at the San Francisco Film Festival last year. Something strange is afoot at Taco Gary’s. Two brothers embark on a cross country road trip that quickly devolves when they become involved in a global conspiracy. Determined to rescue his brother Luke from a coming global cataclysm, Danny joins him on a road trip to Luke’s new job in Ottawa. But as Danny’s stories get wilder and each stop between Taco Gary’s outposts gets more absurd, Luke is forced to consider if Danny is just off his meds or is there something to his older sibling’s outlandish claims? This stars Simon Rex, Dustin Milligan, Jason Biggs, Brenda Song, Arturo Castro, Tony Cavalero, and Doug Jones. It looks super wacky and weird and kinda fun. Maybe?
