Watch: Savannah Bananas’ Jackson Olson Addresses His “Unfair Advantage” Ahead of Dancing With the Stars
Banana Ball’s 2027 season won’t just hit it out of the park—it’ll be out of the country.
The high energy, rule-breaking baseball league—which was launched in 2020 by the Savannah Bananas—released their schedule for next season on Oct. 15, revealing that five of their six teams will flip their way to Mexico and Canada.
Indeed, the Savannah Bananas will travel to Monterrey, Mexico, to take on the Texas Tailgaiters for two games between Feb. 5 and 6. Meanwhile, the Party Animals and Loco Beach Coconuts will call Tijuana, Mexico, home (plate) for two games between Feb. 12 and 13.
Plus, the Savannah Bananas will steal their way to Toronto for two games against the Indianapolis Clowns on Aug. 14 and 15, while the Texas Tailgaters and Party Animals will compete in Winnipeg on August 26 and 28.
Following the news, Savannah Bananas player Jackson Olson—who is currently competing on season 35 of Dancing With the Stars—celebrated his upcoming jet-setting, writing on Instagram, “Time to get your passports ready.”
As for why the Banana Ball league decided to move their games beyond the outfield of the U.S.?
“Fans have been talking about us going international for years, and we’ve always said ‘not yet, not yet, not yet,’” league creator and owner Jesse Cole told ESPN in an Oct. 16 statement. “But as the demand has grown, and we’ve continued to hear from multiple countries and multiple opportunities, we said the time is now.”

While the league’s remaining team the Firefighters is not currently scheduled to play internationally, they will put their tricks on display throughout the rest of the season’s schedule, which includes new stops at massive MLB and NFL stadiums like the Chicago Bears’ Soldier Field.
Plus, the second annual Banana Bowl Championship will kick off inside Nashville’s New Nissan Stadium, the home of the Tennessee Titans, on Sept. 25.
“This past year, the wait list reached 5 million for tickets,” Cole continued. “And so we want to continue to have an opportunity to take care of as many fans as possible; that’s why we’re doing more of these NFL stadiums and more of these Major League Baseball stadiums.”
Still, Cole emphasized the league plans to keep in touch with its roots and create an intimate fan experience, adding, “We’re continuing to remember where we started, where we came from, but the opportunity to get more fans to be able to see it is our ultimate goal.”
