Watch: Why Antonio Banderas Felt He “Wasn’t Supposed” to Be Living in Hollywood
Leven Rambin is hoping the odds turn ever in her favor.
The actress—who starred as Glimmer in 2012’s The Hunger Games—reflected her two-decade grind in the trenches of Hollywood while referring to herself as a “sad failed actor.”
“I do have a profound sadness that this dream that I had as a little girl, I outgrew or just didn’t work out or is fading away,” Rambin said in an Oct. 13 TikTok video. “All of the sass and frustration masks a deep grief that it’s just not what I thought it was going to be at this point as a child with the dream, and you have to reevaluate your life at a certain point and be willing to let go of things.”
Still, the 36-year-old emphasized that the “grief is worth it.”
Explaining that it’s “really scary” to let go of dreams, she added, “The constant grief of feeling undervalued, unwanted, unchosen and scared is more harmful.”
Rambin previously planted her flag as a self-described “failed actor” when she shared insight into her home life in Austin, Texas.
“Look, I may not have an audition, an offer, role, an acting career to speak of at this point, an agent, but I have a white pony,” she said in an Oct. 12 TikTok while taking the horse on a walk. “I’ll take it.”

Rambin—whose only upcoming project is a movie titled Panic Button costarring Alec Baldwin and Jeremy Piven, according to IMDb—also compared her experiences in Hollywood to a “toxic relationship.”
“There are good things, and I do love it. I do love what I do,” she shared in an Oct. 15 TikTok. “But it also feels very not giving in some ways. And it’s like, do I keep hanging in there and fighting? Do I pull back? Do I leave? Is it a matter of time? Is it not? Is that delusional? Where we at, truly?”
That’s why Rambin—whose acting credits include a 20-episode stint on the CBS procedural Fire Country from 2024 to 2025—is torn about changing careers.

“It’s so hard to decide, and I think that’s what you’re seeing now is my uncertainty in real time,” she continued, “and my want for an answer and want for control, which I don’t have any.”
In the end, though, Rambin clarified that she was referring to herself as a “sad failed” actor in jest and that she isn’t necessarily kissing Tinsel Town goodbye just yet.
“I guess the dry humor isn’t coming across on the TikTok sometimes,” she explained in a separate Oct. 15 TikTok. “I was expressing an emotion and being self-deprecating. If y’all can’t handle the mood swings and the back-and-forth, I don’t know what to say.”
As she described it, “It was a self-deprecating joke. It was dry, maybe a little too dry. Yikes.”

Ellen and her wife Portia de Rossi have since moved to the Cotswolds, deciding to stay put in November 2024 after Donald Trump‘s reelection, the talk show host told to Richard Bacon in a July 2025 conversation at the Everyman theater in Cheltenham.”It’s absolutely beautiful,” she gushed about the English countryside, per the BBC. “We’re just not used to seeing this kind of beauty. The villages and the towns and the architecture—everything you see is charming and it’s just a simpler way of life.”It’s clean,” Ellen continued. “Everything here is just better—the way animals are treated, people are polite. I just love it here. We moved here in November, which was not the ideal time, but I saw snow for the first time in my life. We love it here. Portia flew her horses here, and I have chickens, and we had sheep for about two weeks.”
