Watch: Mason Thames Reveals “Favorite” Factor About Working With Girlfriend Mckenna Grace
The fashion odds are ever in Mckenna Grace’s favor.
Ahead of next month’s release of the Hunger Games prequel Sunrise on the Reaping, the actress channeled Jennifer Lawrence’s character Katniss Everdeen in a dress so stunning it could start a revolution.
As Grace attended the Elegance is Authority: The Story, Style, and Power of Panem event in Paris Oct. 7, she donned a white, ruffled wedding gown with a diamond-encrusted bodice piece that resembled the dress Katniss wore in Catching Fire before it transformed into a black gown version of her mockingjay emblem.
And while the 20-year-old—who attended the event alongside costar Joseph Zada—looked triumphant at the Paris Fashion Week outing, she has promised a cornucopia of fashion statements during the upcoming film’s rollout.
“In the spirit of fashion, I am so excited about this press tour and all the looks and all the premieres and all the times that we get to meet all the fans,” she told W Magazine Oct. 5. “It’s going to be ridiculous and insane and exciting.”
But it isn’t just the style choices that have Grace thrilled about the latest installment of the Hunger Games franchise, which also stars Elle Fanning, Jesse Plemmons, Glenn Close, Maya Hawke, Iris Apatow and Ralph Fiennes.
In fact, the Regretting You actress has emphasized that she’s a “super fan” of the Panem lore.
“It’s crazy to a part of Hunger Games in any regard,” she told Entertainment Tonight last month. “To get to be playing these characters I think is so surreal for all of us.”
Indeed, Grace previously shared that “everyone is a fan” when it came to the Sunrise on the Reaping set, though she may be chief among them.
“As soon as the new Hunger Games book dropped, I went to Barnes & Noble and read it without the audition even being in consideration,” she explained to L’Officiel in June. “We’re trying to make something that we’re all proud of and the fans can be happy with. So everybody should be stoked.”
