Drake is looking to correct these headlines.
After his longtime friend Keshia Chanté shared she is seven months pregnant with a baby boy—teasing that the father of her little one on the way comes from a musical background—paternity rumors started to swirl, with some people speculating that Drake fathered the child.
However, a rep for Drake denied the rumors, telling E! News, “It’s false.”
E! News has reached out to Chanté’s reps for additional comment but has not heard back.
The “Unpredictable” singer announced her pregnancy on Oct. 6, teasing that it was her unnamed partner’s idea to start a family together.
“I’m very free-spirited, and whatever the universe wants for me, I’ll have,” she told Hello! Canada in an interview published Oct. 6, coyly teasing her “unavailable” relationship status. “But he said he was ready. He set up the play and he nailed it! God bless him.”
Describing her partner as “brilliant and super creative and just constantly doing things that I’m inspired by,” the 38-year-old continued, “I would love to see my son have his mannerisms and his swag.”
As for Drake—who famously clapped back at rumors that he puts hot sauce in condoms to kill sperm—the “Nice for What” rapper is keeping busy with his musical career as well as his 8-year-old son Adonis, who he shares with Sophie Brussaux.
And while Drake has kept his son largely out of the spotlight, he has been candid about the difficult road he and Brussaux faced as they attempted to raise Adonis in the early years.

“I am a single father learning to communicate with a woman who, we’ve had our moments,” the 39-year-old shared on HBO’s The Shop in October 2018. “I do want to be able to explain to my son what happened. But I don’t have any desire for him to not love his mother. I don’t ever want the world to be angry at his mother.”
Thankfully, the two managed to find harmony, with Drake alluding to their relationship on his 2021 song “Champagne Poetry,” rapping, “Co-parent of the year, we figured out a rapport.”
