Watch: Tim McGraw, Faith Hill’s Daughter Maggie Engaged to James Rubin
Tim McGraw was tired of searching, and then Faith Hill walked into his life.
And in the 30 years they’ve been married, he’s never been more grateful for his best friend as he remembers the day they signed onto forever.
“That day, October 6, 1996, under an old locust tree (I think) in my Aunt’s backyard in Rayville, Louisiana, I stood there and watched my future walk towards me,” he captioned his Instagram post. “In front of our closest family and friends, I was bound to the most beautiful soul. A lady that was glowing in my eyes, expanding my heart, and giving me all the love she had.”
And even three decades have not dulled his appreciation of his wife.
“I was and still am bewildered by her capacity to love, forgive, nurture and be full of joy and laughter,” McGraw—dad to daughters Gracie, 29, Maggie, 28, and Audrey, 24, with Hill—continued. “She is a gift to the world for sure, however, for us, we get Her, all of her. And I (and my girls) know who is ours, completely.”
As he noted, “It’s difficult to describe what she means, she is the center of gravity to my life and our girls lives and anyone who knows Audrey Faith McGraw.”
Accompanying the heartfelt caption was a video montage from over the years, including clips of them singing onstage together, participating in joint photoshoots and exchanging kisses. Backing the sweet video was McGraw’s song, “My Best Friend.”
Indeed, The Blind Side actor concluded his caption by affirming, “You are my best friend, My lover, My wife, My shelter in any and every storm, And the sunrise afterwards.”

“Many more sunrises and sunsets, Many more beautiful memories to come,” he promised. “I am a fortunate man.”
Though Hill herself doesn’t have an Instagram account, the couple’s youngest daughter made sure to show her appreciation for her dad’s sweet words.
“Awwww,” Audrey wrote, “love y’all so much.”
And this isn’t the first time that Audrey—named after her mother, whose real name is Audrey Faith McGraw—has expressed her appreciation for her parents.
After performing her mom’s song “Stronger” with her dad during his July 24 concert in Wantagh, New York, Audrey took a moment to reflect how grateful she was to be their daughter.
“I don’t have words to express the honor I feel to sing my mama’s song last night, and for it to be at dad’s show,” the singer captioned a July 25 Instagram post featuring a snippet of her performance. “To be your daughter is an infinite gift. I love y’all so much, I am always so proud and so inspired by you.”
