Tonight’s (Sept. 30) special episode of AEW Dynamite paid tribute to Benjamin Satterley aka PAC, who died over the weekend at 40 years old.
The first time I ever watched a pro wrestling show like this was back in 1999 when Owen Hart died, and I hope it’s a very long time before there is another one like it. As is customary on these types of shows, several wrestlers got a chance to record videos expressing their grief and what PAC meant to them.
An inconsolable Hangman Page started it off.
Cash Wheeler and Jay White went next, with Switchblade describing The Bastard as the perfect wrestler.
Ricochet’s overwhelming love and respect for PAC shined through during his video.
AEW World Champion Will Ospreay is going to miss learning from PAC and seeing his beautiful face.
Swerve Strickland and Darby Allin also spoke about PAC, with Darby fondly remembering his match against PAC on a golf course earlier this year. That one definitely ranks among the five most memorable PAC matches in AEW for me.
Which of these individual tributes to PAC resonate with you the most? Let me know in the comments below, Cagesiders.
