Rockin’ roguelike

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Splintered Fate channelled some big Hades energy when it arrived on Switch a couple of years ago, but familiarity is clearly no bad thing, as dev Super Evil Megacorp has today revealed that the game has surpassed a whopping 1.5 million sales.
The total accounts for base game sales across all platforms, of course, but if you bundle in DLC sales as well, then Splintered Fate is sitting pretty on over 2.6 million copies shifted. Cowabunga indeed.
To mark the occasion, Super Evil Megacorp has revealed some player stats from all those who have played the game so far. In the two years since launch, Leonardo has been the most-played Turtle, while Casey Jones is the most-played DLC character. Flame has been the most-used power-up in roguelike runs, and players fell back on the Manhole Cover Artefact most often.

The dev has also shared the second part of its behind-the-scenes look at the recent King’s Gambit DLC, revealed some free phone and desktop wallpapers, and teased that there is even more news to come.
While we felt that the game ultimately stuck a little too close to Hades’ playbook at launch, it’s great to see all the extra DLC and content it has received in the years since. And hey, with numbers like these, we’d be surprised if it slows down any time soon.
