Ubisoft has published a new overview trailer for Rayman Legends Retold ahead of its launch on 3rd December 2026.
Honestly, we’ve been questioning why this game needed to be made in the first place – Rayman Legends: Definitive Edition is still available on Switch, and it’s still great – but this latest release has completely banished any lingering doubts. It looks awesome.
Not only is it a visual treat, but it’s clear that this is much more than a simple remake or remaster. Plenty of extra content has been added, including new music levels and an entirely new realm to explore. The story has also been given a significant boost, with new cutscenes added to flesh out the characters.

It really looks like this is a solid attempt from Ubisoft to reboot Rayman and set the franchise up for a thriving future. Given that the launch edition also contains Rayman Origins: Enhanced Edition at a measly £34.99, we honestly can’t foresee any scenario in which we don’t pick this up.
Check it out for yourself, though, and see what you think; even with all of the extra bells and whistles, you may feel it unnecessary to play through what is essentially Rayman Legends again, and that’s fine.
