In what’s arguably a match made in heaven, Stellar Blade recently announced a crossover with Bayonetta, where Eve will be getting outfits directly inspired by the famous Umbra Witch.
In a new Famitsu interview recently, Stellar Blade’s director Kim Hyung-tae has now confessed his love for Bayonetta, stating it’s one of his favourite series of all time, and claiming he wouldn’t have been able to create Eve without it.
He also admitted to PlatinumGames’ CEO Atsushi Inaba that he would love to be involved in the making of a new Bayonetta game, joking:
“If PlatinumGames would make a desk for me, I’d come every day”.
This comment apparently led to a “stern look” from Shift Up’s CBO, but Inaba believes his contributions could be an asset to the Bayonetta franchise.
Platinum is also impressed with the faithful representation of Bayonetta in the Stellar Blade collab, with Inaba further stating, “Kim’s costume strikes a perfect balance between being truly Bayonetta and being Stellar Blade”.
It’s open to a cross-collaboration on its end as well, where it designs something, and both parties reportedly welcome the idea of exploring new initiatives together. So, who knows what else might happen in the future!
