18 days of celebrating the best in world cinema! It’s a few weeks away from the start of the 2026 New York Film Festival held every year in the glamorous Lincoln Center in NYC’s Upper West Side. To kick off the final days of cinema buzz, the NYFF has just revealed their annual official festival trailer (which we always post). This year’s line-up is one of the best of this decade. It’s incredible! The NYFF is the annual best-of-the-best festival line-up that plays the greatest selection of films from ALL of the other fests all year, along with a few world premieres of its own. Aside from showing the best from Cannes, Venice, Telluride, TIFF, they’re also featuring major world premieres which I wish I could be at: “the latest films by Paul Thomas Anderson, Takashi Yamazaki, Tony Gilroy, Jonathan Glazer, Andrew Haigh, Lee Chang-dong.” The biggest debuts at NYFF 2026 include: Tony Gilroy’s Behemoth!, Luca Guadagnino’s Artificial (which looks damn good), Ava DuVernay’s 14th doc, Takashi Yamazaki’s Godzilla Minus Zero (awesome), Tom McCarthy’s A Statement, and PTA’s music doc Cameron Winter at Carnegie Hall. Enjoy this 2026 fest preview.

The trailer was edited by Jump Cut & features music by Tony Gilroy’s NYFF64 Main Slate debut Behemoth!, composed by The Behemoth! Collective. Presented by Film at Lincoln Center, the New York Film Festival highlights the best in world cinema. This 64th NYFF this year runs from September 25th to October 12th. Tickets have already gone on sale (click here) so book anything you can. For more info, visit the fest’s site with all the details. Film at Lincoln Center fulfills its mission through the programming of festivals, series, retrospectives, and new releases; the publication of Film Comment; and the presentation of podcasts, talks, special events, and artist initiatives. Since its founding in 1969, this nonprofit organization has brought the celebration of American and international film to the world-renowned Lincoln Center arts complex, making the discussion & appreciation of cinema accessible to a broad audience and ensuring it remains an essential art form for years to come. To view the full line-up of films playing at NYFF 2026, go to the official website. If you’re in the NYC area, this is the best film festival to attend. So many great movies! Just go see them all.
