Watch: Zendaya, Selena Gomez & More Best Dressed Celebrities on the Emmys Red Carpet
It turns out you can take a picture of this.
After all, it’s not every day that Six Feet Under costars Peter Krause and Richard Jenkins pose together, as they did at the 2026 Emmy Awards at Los Angeles’ Peacock Theatre on Sept. 14.
Krause—who was one of the presenters during the Mariska Hargitay-hosted ceremony—looked dapper in a plum tuxedo with a matching shirt and tie, while Jenkins, a nominee for his work on DTF St. Louis, kept it classic in a black tux, white shirt and black bow tie.
The duo’s reunion was certainly one to take to the grave, as they came together 21 years after the HBO series ended its five-season run in 2005. On the series, Krause starred as Nate Fisher, who suddenly finds himself running a funeral parlor after the death of his father, Nathaniel Fisher Sr., played by Jenkins.
And two decades on, Krause can pinpoint the exact reason he felt so drawn to Nate.
“He was leading this compromised life where he really couldn’t be himself,” the 61-year-old shared with TV Insider in June, “and I think we can all relate to that at different times, when there are the pressures from the outside that make us, out of a sense of responsibility or obligation, make decisions that take us away from our genuine self, and that particular grind in Nate was something that, at that time in my life, I responded to.”

As for Jenkins, while the 79-year-old only made recurring appearances on the series, fans of Six Feet Under still recognized him in all sorts of interesting places.
“I was at a real funeral once, and somebody tapped me on the shoulder and said, ‘Are they filming this?’” he recalled to The Guardian in 2021. “I met a woman at an airport and she was crying. She said, ‘Why did you stop that series? Why is this over?’ People were passionate about it.”
