Hijacking the usual Cageside Seats headline, because despite earlier reports that Ric Flair was back with WWE, the Nature Boy has now taken to his social media accounts to dispute these claims, saying he’s still with AEW for the foreseeable.
If you’ve seen any of Ric Flair’s social media posts before, you know what to expect in terms of formatting, but his response is pretty long winded to say what he intends to say. Or to put it in Flair terms: oldest ride, longest lack of line break. Woo.

Given these reports were from remarks Flair himself made on Booker T’s podcast, I’m not entirely sure it’s completely the internet’s fault for starting the rumors based on Ric specifically mentioning the Royal Rumble, even if things did get confused. And the statement only talks about right now, so for all we know his AEW contract might have expired by Royal Rumble in January – so in classic Ric fashion it doesn’t really clear up as much as anyone would like. So, as of right now, Ric Flair is still with AEW. Unless he’s not.
