Are you ready for it?

No, we don’t just mean football—though the NFL season is officially kicking off Sept. 9 as the New England Patriots pay a visit to the Seattle Seahawks.  

Rather, with Travis Kelce, Patrick Mahomes and the rest of their Kansas City Chiefs squad set to take on the Denver Broncos Sept. 14, we could be just a scant few days away from newly married Taylor Swift kicking off her NFL wife era. 

And, yes, a Swift sighting in the star tight end’s box at Arrowhead Stadium in on our Wi$h Li$t. 

But the singer’s cheerleading skills also has the 11-time Pro Bowler dreamin’ bout a packed house. 

While a fourth Super Bowl ring to accompany his newest bling would be nice, “Outside of the big games and my teammates and Chiefs Kingdom, it’s definitely looking up and seeing my friends and family in the crowd,” Kelce told Vogue of his career highlight reel. “That suite is always electric. Knowing everyone I love is in there just rocking with us every week. The support I have from them—it’s everything, man.”

Of course, the New Heights podcaster isn’t the only one to make some big plays in the off-season. 

Like Kelce did at New York City’s Madison Square Garden July 3, Super Bowl-winning Seattle Seahawks quarterback Sam Darnold pledged forever to longtime teammate Katie Hoofnagle, as did Los Angeles Chargers’ Justin Hebert when he proposed to singer Madison Beer. 

And Josh Allen, Bo Nix, Baker Mayfield, Jordan Love, Brock Purdy and Trevor Lawrence are all well on their way to having a whole block lookin’ like them.

Buffalo Bills QB Allen became a first-time dad this spring when actress wife Hailee Steinfeld gave birth to daughter Harper Haize. Denver Broncos leader Nix ran the same play, as did the Packers’ Love. Meanwhile, Tampa Bay’s Mayfield, the 49ers’ Purdy and Jacksonville’s Lawrence added to their rosters. 

So before all the running and throwing starts, we’re opening up our playbook to break down some other key stats. Namely, the partners the league’s QBs consider their top targets off the field.

Drake Maye, New England PatriotsThe No. 3 pick in the 2024 NFL Draft came to Foxborough, Mass., ready to start on the field, but the North Carolina native hasn’t played the field possibly ever, having been in a relationship with fellow North Carolina Tar Heel Ann Michael Hudson for more than a decade.”9 years with you and it keeps getting better everyday,” Ann wrote Oct. 30, 2024, on Instagram. “I couldn’t imagine my life with out you as my best friend. I love you more than you know!”After wrapping up his rookie NFL season, Drake popped the question, captioning their Jan. 15, 2025, engagement announcement, “Love doing life with you. Can’t wait to marry you!”The endgame sweethearts tied the knot in June 2025.

Sam Darnold, Seattle SeahawksUniversity of South Carolina alum Katie Hoofnagle‘s Instagram page features stops in North Carolina, Minnesota and Washington, reflecting her own road as the partner of a journeyman quarterback.Before joining the Seahawks, Sam popped the question in his hometown of Dana Point, Calif., in July 2025.Celebrating his birthday a month before their engagement, Katie wrote on Instagram, “Amidst the chaos of our everyday lives, every day spent with you is filled with an abundance of peace, laughter, presence, joy, and love. Here’s to another trip around the sun sharing good meals, good music, and good company. Happy 28th birthday to my better half, I love you more.”Two months after his February 2026 Super Bowl win, the pair were going near Disneyland, marrying at California’s Rancho Valencia Resort & Spa. I’m just going to get you a coffee.’ I think I had like seven coffees a day.”The couple, together since senior year at Audubon High School in New Jersey, married on June 25, 2011.
