AAA’s biggest show of the year arrives next week for two nights of Triplemania 34. The card was finalized during Saturday night’s episode of Lucha Libre AAA, and it may have spoiled a match booked for WWE SmackDown.
The War Raiders currently hold the AAA World Tag Team Championship. They have a date to defend the gold against Damian Priest & R-Truth on SmackDown from Mexico City. Erik and Ivar are so confident in retaining that they will issue an open challenge on Night 2 of Triplemania.
Sometimes it feels like the right hand doesn’t know what the left hand is doing in the WWE universe. Could this be a case of spoiling the SmackDown result? Perhaps not though. If Priest & Truth win, honoring that open challenge anyway would be a babyface thing to do.
The other fresh match added will be best friend versus best friend versus a third wheel. Mr. Iguana approached general manager Rey Mysterio looking for a championship opportunity. Iguana’s case was being undefeated since losing the mixed tag titles. Rey proposed an idea for Iguana to face his friend and the last man to beat him. It will be La Parka defending the AAA Latin American Championship against Iguana and Laredo Kid.
