Rosie Hits Trump Where It Hurts in Scathing Parody Song

Rosie O’Donnell closed out her week as Jimmy Kimmel’s guest host with a scathing song “dedicated to a very special boy.”

Singing to the tune of “Danny Boy,” O’Donnell eviscerated her longtime nemesis, Donald Trump.

As one of Kimmel’s rotating summer hosts, hand-picked by the ABC anchor as a “special treat” for the president, O’Donnell surprisingly spent little time on him. She didn’t utter Trump’s name once, instead using creative nicknames for the president, and decided only to open her monologues with brief quips about him.

But the song became a perfect sendoff and conclusion to her stint on the late-night show.

“Oh, Donnie boy, it’s Rosie, Rosie calling from Hollywood, the Jimmy Kimmel show. Drop that Big Mac that we all know you’re holding, because, my dear, I worry for you so,” she sang, with an image of the president gobbling his beloved McDonald’s looming in the background.

She continued, “Poor Donnie boy, your polls, your polls are falling / Your Reflecting Pool is green as Mountain Dew / Your wig’s a mess. Your ballroom is appalling / And with Iran, you bit off more than you can chew.”

“Measles are back / Inflation is a swelling. You post all night / You’re sleeping while you work. And what’s with all this useless c— you’re selling? / Hey, sweetie pie, you’re driving us all berserk.”

The comedian and former talk-show host concluded her song with a plea for the president to put an end to the country’s misery.

“But there’s a way to end this drama / It’s time to use that stable genius brain / Since we all know you’ll never be Obama, why not resign and make this country great again?” she belted. “Yes, we all know you’ll never be Obama / Come on, resign and make this country great again!”

The former host of The View thanked Kimmel’s audience and the “hungry, hungry hypocrite in the White House” for watching her episodes throughout the week.

She also gave a shout-out to Kimmel, saying, “I’d like to thank Jimmy Kimmel for inviting me to do this and for reminding everyone that we have the right to free speech in this country, whether Orange Voldemort likes it or not.”

JIMMY KIMMEL LIVE! O’Donnell was careful with how much space she gave to Trump, suggesting that this move alone would drive the 80-year-old president crazy.

That didn’t stop MAGA from melting down over her temporary hosting gig. Fox News host Sean Hannity said O’Donnell should “stay in Ireland,” after her jokes about the president hit a nerve. Conservative commentator Tomi Lahren jumped in on the criticism, saying, “She supposedly left because Trump was elected, and last time I checked he’s still here. So why’s she here?”

O’Donnell notably left the U.S. once Trump was re-elected, moving to Ireland in 2025 and prompting the president to threaten to revoke her American citizenship.

White House spokesperson David Ingle similarly slammed O’Donnell’s joke about Trump’s 35-year-old executive assistant Natalie Harp, telling People in response, “Rosie O’Donnell is a nasty woman and a total slob whose brain has been completely destroyed by Trump Derangement Syndrome.”

O’Donnell has declared that she lives “rent free” in Trump’s head, with a feud that dates back to 2006.
