Nintendo of America has uploaded a new Gameplay Showcase trailer for Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition on Switch 2, giving us a great look at what’s in store for next week’s launch on 28th August.

It’s not a particularly lengthy trailer, but it does break down some of the basics. You can choose between a selection of builds when creating your character, before customising and improving various stats to your liking. Utilising different weapons is key, and you can also call upon the likes of Torrent, a rideable steed to help you traverse The Lands Between, spirit allies during battle, or even other players.

This is merely a sliver of what Elden Ring has to offer, mind. If you’ve player it before, then you’ll know that it’s an absolute monster of a game, one that will test your skills at every turn as you work your way through your adventure.

A recent preview has also gone live for the Switch 2 port from Denfaminicogamer, during which the writer stated that the performance left them “utterly speechless”. It’s true that early builds lead to a few concerns around how the game holds up on Nintendo’s platform, but it seems we can expect a pretty solid and stable experience next week.
