Watch: Gwyneth Paltrow, Daughter Apple Martin Are Practically Twins in Summer Swimsuits
Gwyneth Paltrow and Apple Martin are letting the goop times roll this summer.
Indeed, the Oscar winner showed off snaps of her spending time with her 22-year-old daughter—shared with ex Chris Martin of Coldplay—during some mother-daughter bonding moments.
The 53-year-old captioned the Aug. 14 Instagram series, starting with a selfie of the duo striking nearly identical smiles by the pool, “Summer, so far so good.”
In addition to the backyard memories, Gwyneth indulged in her well-documented passion for healthy food, showing how they’re treating themselves to fresh market berries, heirloom tomatoes and gourmet oysters in a delicious look at their summer highlights. In another photo, Gwyneth captured Apple—who graduated from Vanderbilt University with a degree in law, history and society in May—playing with flowers in their garden.
As such, the days of relaxation seem to be a nice change of pace for Apple following her pursuit of the arts at school, with the actress having finished her senior year by making her directorial debut on a student production.
“Best weekend, best people, best org, best memories,” Apple captioned a cast photo shared to Instagram Stories Mar. 31. “Couldn’t have done it without u.”
And Apple—older sister to 20-year-old Moses—isn’t stopping there. She was also recently cast in a star-studded Nancy Meyers movie alongside Penélope Cruz, Kieran Culkin, Jude Law and Owen Wilson, further cementing her path following in her mom’s footsteps.

As for how Apple really feels about the frequent comparisons that she is the Goop founder’s mini-me?
“That was a moment where everyone was like, ‘You’re your mom’s twin,'” she said while supporting Gwyneth at the Marty Supreme premiere in 2025. “And I was like, ‘Thank you. I’ll take it.’ Are you kidding?”
