Two Water-types grace Pokopia for a limited-time only
The Fetching Scales for Feebas event runs from 13th August to 28th August, 2026, adding two Gen 3 Water-types to Pokémon Pokopia.
If you’ve played previous limited-time events, you’ll know what to expect. A new Pokémon, Feebas, will rock up outside a Pokémon Center, asking you to find a currency in exchange for new items, helping you construct several brand new habitats.

How To Start The Fetching Scales for Feebas Event
Before you start, you need to have rebuilt a Pokémon Center, and play between the dates of 13th August to 28th August, 2026.
As with recent live-events Wish Upon A Jirachi and Hide-and-Sneak, you couldn’t time travel to this event ahead of time. However, now the start date as passed, once you’ve connected the game to the internet to authenticate the date, you are able to time travel back if you have already missed it.
When you log in during the above dates, Feebas will appear outside of the Withering Wastes Pokémon Center and ask for you Prism Scales. Once you have enough, you can then trade them for event-specific items, and build two unique habitats.
How To Get Prism Scales
To get Prism Scales, you must visit Dream Islands with the help of Drifloon by interacting with a doll.
Once in a Dream Island, look out for flat, pink and blue shell-like items on the ground.
In our experience, these are only found on beaches or sandy environments, and we found a lot more in the Basin Dream Island, which is found by visiting the Starmie Doll discovered in the Bubbly Basin DLC.

When you have some Prism Scales, you can head to the Pokémon Center and exchange them at the counter for event-specific items. These are:

How To Get The Exciting Beach and Marine Leisure Activities Event Habitats
The Fetching Scales for Feebas event has two habitats to unlock:

This means you need to acquire a total of 50 Prism Scales (20 for Exciting Beach, 30 for Marine Leisure Activities) to unlock both. You could in theory just get enough for Milotic’s habitat, but having Exciting Beach means you can then give Feebas a thematically suitable home once the event ends.
