Perez Hilton is receiving help.

The celebrity blogger, 48, has been hospitalized after police were dispatched to his Miami home following reports that he engaged in self-harm during a TikTok livestream Aug. 4.

“The Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office received multiple calls regarding an individual who was livestreaming acts of self-harm on social media,” authorities told E! News in a statement Aug. 5. “Deputies quickly located the individual’s residence, where they spoke with family members on scene, and confirmed he was alone inside.”

In the time since, authorities noted that they were able to make contact.

“The individual has been safely recovered and transported by Miami-Dade Fire Rescue to a local hospital, where he is receiving medical attention,” police told E! News in a follow-up statement. “The Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office Crisis Response Unit and Licensed Mental Health Professionals are also on scene providing support and resources to the individual’s family.”

The TikTok livestream video, which has since been taken down, appeared to show Hilton covered in blood while holding what seemed to be a knife, according to NBC News.

Shortly thereafter, Hilton’s reps noted that they were “aware of the concerning content circulating online involving” the podcaster.

“At this time, we have not been able to make direct contact with him, despite our ongoing efforts to reach him,” Golden Artists Entertainment CoCEO’s Dante Rusciolelli and Rebekah Kochan told E! News in a statement. “Our primary concern is Perez’s health and well being, as well as the well being of his family. Until we have confirmed information, we will not speculate or comment further.”

“We appreciate everyone’s concern,” they added, “and ask that his privacy be respected during this time.”

Earlier this year, Hilton—who is a dad of three—shared a health update after he was hospitalized for 21 days due to sepsis.

“I’m so happy,” Hilton (born Mario Armando Lavandeira Jr.) said in a video posted to Instagram April 2. “I’m so grateful, because this is a blessing from God. We caught this early. Let me tell you what happened. I went to see my surgeon today—really good time. God! Last night I started having real soreness and pain in one of my legs, and this morning it got way worse. I couldn’t even walk; I had to use my walker.”

Hilton explained his surgeon sent him back to the hospital to receive an ultrasound to see if he had a blood clot.

“And I do,” he shared. “I have a deep vein thrombosis. I’m so thankful to God that we caught this early because, if that blood clot had gone to my lungs or my heart, it could’ve been real bad.”

He went on to thank those who supported him throughout his weekslong stay.

“I’m happy,” Hilton shared, “because we caught it early, and I know the amazing medical team here at Southern Hills is gonna make this a piece of cake, and God has got me.”

The following day, Perez posted a follow-up video confirming that everything had gone as planned during his procedure.

“Just got out of surgery and everything went so well!!” he wrote at the time. “Good Friday indeed.”
