Diane Farr is ready to blaze a new trail in life.

The Fire Country star revealed she’s leaving Los Angeles after three decades to start her exciting next chapter.

“Last Day in LA,” Farr—who has portrayed Sharon Leone on the CBS drama since 2022—wrote on Instagram July 30 along with a video showing her final moments in her home. “I’ve lived here 30 years. Exactly 30 years and more importantly- I chose LA.”

The 56-year-old’s love affair with Southern California began the summer after she turned 26 when she relocated from NYC to Los Angeles to find reresentation as a budding actor.

“I came like most of the people I love in Hollywoodland – none of which I saw this week bc moving sucks,” Farr—who shares three children with ex-husband Seung Yong Chung—continued. “(You’re never getting rid of me in your life. I just had to pack for 4 people – going to 6 different locations – in 3 different trucks all leaving while I’m back at work tomorrow.)”

Farr noted she still can’t believe she found success as a working actor, having worked on major network shows like Numb3rs and Rescue Me.

“I came here chasing a dream that I am still shocked worked out,” she wrote. “And I also got to raise babies in the sun and the mountains and enjoy this beautiful home and attend public schools ?? Pinch me I’m overwhelmed by the blessings and hope, really hope I gave enough back. LA will always be where my family is from.”

However, this isn’t a forever goodbye as Farr shared the move is simply a “hiatus.” Regardless, she admitted selling her longtime home “was harder than I thought.”

“To leave this house,” she concluded. “To leave this dream, even if it is realized – and to leave home. Thank you #cityofangels.”

While Farr didn’t reveal where she’s headed for her “third act” in life, she did tease it includes “a couple of countries I never saw myself in.”

As for what this major life change means for her future on Fire Country? Farr didn’t address whether or not she’ll be appearing on the show’s upcoming sixth season, so fans will have to stay tuned to find out Sharon Leone’s fate.

The villages and the towns and the architecture—everything you see is charming and it’s just a simpler way of life.”It’s clean,” Ellen continued. “Everything here is just better—the way animals are treated, people are polite. I just love it here. We moved here in November, which was not the ideal time, but I saw snow for the first time in my life. We love it here.
