Watch: Beyoncé Drops Surprise Single “Morning Dew (Donk)” Amid Act III Buzz
Jay-Z is putting family on top.
The Roc Nation founder surprised fans at the first night of his 30th anniversary concert series for his 1996 album Reasonable Doubt by making the night a family affair, inviting wife Beyoncé and daughter Blue Ivy Carter to join him onstage at Yankee Stadium July 10.
Indeed, Beyoncé joined Jay-Z (born Shawn Carter) during a rendition of “Can’t Knock the Hustle,” which originally featured Mary J. Blige.
In social media footage from the concert, the Destiny’s Child alum—who also shares 9-year-old twins Rumi and Sir withJay-Z—belted the lyrics to the 1996 hit wearing a bedazzled pinstripe jumpsuit and statement jewelry. As Queen Bey strutted across the stage, Jay-Z couldn’t help but dote over his wife’s voice.
As he said during their duet, “Oh, she can sing.”
But Beyoncé also gave the “99 Problems” rapper his flowers.
“Give it up for my baby,” she said before transition to a soulful rendition of “Love on Top,” “He’s the man.”
Before exiting the stage, Beyoncé, 44, gave her husband a tender kiss, adding, “I love you so much.”
Though the music mogul also brought out pals Nas and Alicia Keys during the performance, family comes first until the end of time for Bey and Jay. After all, the pair’s eldest daughter also took the stage during the concert, donning a fitted New York hat to celebrate her dad’s Brooklyn roots.

Instead of taking to the mic like her mama, a video shared by Variety from the event showed Blue, 14, playing a piano solo as she joined her dad for “Feelin’ It.”
And the 56-year-old couldn’t be more proud of his little girl, adding at the end of her performance, “Make some noise for the legendary Blue Ivy Carter.”
Though Blue has gotten plenty of onstage practice by dancing during her mom’s Renaissance and Cowboy Carter tour stops, Jay-Z previously shared insight into her masterful talent on the keys.

“Blue is a crazy pianist, but she won’t let us get her a teacher,” Jay-Z told GQ in an interview published March 24. “She doesn’t want it to be a job. But she has perfect pitch. If she hears a song, she’ll be like, ‘Play it again’ and then she’ll teach herself.”
And just like her parents, Blue’s musical aptitude is irreplaceable.
“That’s just talent, she doesn’t work at that,” he added. “She worked at this, and it makes me proud that she fought for something that she really wanted to do. I don’t think we’re going to be able to get her off that stage now.”
