USA Wrestling Triple Crown Award Winners
Heading into the 2026 U.S. Marine Corps Junior Nationals, 35 athletes are eligible for the USA Wrestling Triple Crown Award at the Junior and 16U age levels, with 32 boys and 3 girls still in the running for one of the top honors in the sport.
The USA Wrestling Triple Crown Award culminates for the Junior and 16U age divisions in Fargo, N.D., each year. The boys earn the prestigious award by winning national titles in folkstyle, freestyle and Greco-Roman in the same year. Similarly, girls must win folkstyle and freestyle national titles, plus win a third championship at either the National High School Recruiting Showcase or Women’s Nationals.

Junior Boys Triple Crown
Nine athletes have won a Triple Crown in the Junior Boys division since the program began in 2007. The most recent win came in 2022 from a pair of Idaho teammates—Mack Mauger at 106 pounds and Aden Attao at 285 pounds.
The 15 individuals eligible for the Junior Boys Triple Crown entering Fargo are the 2026 Junior Folkstyle Nationals Champions:

113 lbs. – Cason Craft (Oklahoma)
120 lbs. – Isaiah Jones (Oklahoma)
126 lbs. – Hendrix Schwab (Iowa)
132 lbs. – Maxwell Cumbee (Illinois)
138 lbs. – Gavin Landers (Iowa)
144 lbs. – Sean Hall (Idaho)
150 lbs. – Jake Mescher (Idaho)
157 lbs. – Gus Cardinal (Arizona)
165 lbs. – Mac Crosson (Iowa)
175 lbs. – Maximus Dhabolt (Iowa)
190 lbs. – Waylon Cressell (Iowa)
215 lbs. – Ladd Holman (Utah)

Based on the preliminary entry list, six contenders are registered to compete in both styles—DeVaughn Miller, Cason Craft, Isaiah Jones, Jake Mescher, Waylon Cressell and Ladd Holman.
Seven others are only registered in the freestyle competition—Hendrix Schwab, Maxwell Cumbee, Gavin Landers, Gus Cardinal, Mac Crosson, Maximus Dhabolt and Kal-El Fluckiger.
Max Lindquist and Sean Hall are currently not registered.
Junior Girls Triple Crown
One athlete has won a Triple Crown in the Junior Girls division since the program began in 2022—Valerie Hamilton of Illinois at 145 pounds.
The two individuals eligible for the Junior Girls Triple Crown entering Fargo include Peggy Susan Dean of Colorado and Morgan Turner of Illinois.
Both Dean and Turner won the 2026 Junior Folkstyle Nationals, which is the first leg of the Triple Crown. Turner won the 2026 Women’s Nationals in the U23 and U20 divisions to achieve the second Triple Crown marker. Dean passed phase two of the Triple Crown by winning the 2026 Girls National High School Recruiting Showcase.
Dean is still 16U age eligible and is entered in both the 16U and Junior divisions at 110 pounds. She will attempt the rare Fargo double, which has proven a challenge of its own since the tournament format changed four years ago to wrestle both girls age groups simultaneously.
Turner is not registered for the event. She qualified to represent the U.S. at three World Championships (Senior, U23 and U20) this summer and is expected to remain focused on her preparations for international competition.
16U Boys Triple Crown
27 athletes have won a Triple Crown in the 16U Boys division since the program began in 2003. The most recent win came in 2023 from a pair of Iowa teammates—Kyler Knaack at 152 pounds and Dreshaun Ross at 195 pounds.

Max Lindquist, Carter Smith and Roman Tuttle are currently not registered.
16U Girls Triple Crown
Three athletes have won a Triple Crown in the 16U Girls division since the program began in 2022. Two individuals achieved the feat last year—Eve Skrocki of Iowa at 145 pounds and Janiya Johnson of Tennessee at 155 pounds.
The last individual standing for a 16U Girls Triple Crown entering Fargo is Emma Antoni of Minnesota, who is registered at 145 pounds.
Antoni won the 2026 16U Folkstyle Nationals, which is the first leg of the Triple Crown. She topped the U15 division at the 2026 Women’s Nationals to hurdle the second leg.

The premier national tournament in the U.S., which crowns champions in the three Olympic disciplines across the Junior and 16U age groups, returns to the FARGODOME on the campus of North Dakota State in Fargo, N.D., July 10-18.
