Watch: West Wilson Tells All in Final ‘Summer House’ Appearance After Announcing He’s Leaving Show
West Wilson is addressing his Summer House departure for the very first time.
Over a week after news broke that the Bravolebrity won’t be returning for the show’s upcoming season 11 amid his bombshell romance with Amanda Batula, West confirmed the reports about his exit are, in fact, correct.
“I wanted to tell it on my own but that is true,” the sports journalist—who joined Summer House in 2024 during season eight—confessed during the June 24 episode of the Broadcast Boys podcast. “But in their defense, I don’t think it would have been a fun summer.”
E! News has reached out to Bravo and has not yet heard back.
West’s prediction seems spot-on given how his ex Ciara Miller called him and Amanda out during the season 10 reunion earlier this month over their secret romance, which they confirmed publicly March 31.
And while the couple had some trouble answering some questions during the post-season 10 showdown (due to some beta blockers on West’s part), he finally confirmed once and for all when he and Amanda—who announced her divorce from husband of four years Kyle Cooke in January—actually consecrated their relationship in the bedroom.
“We f–ked after the statement,” the 31-year-old shared, “but we’d been like making out and having sleepovers for a long time. I was still doing the wrong thing but I was like, ‘I’m not committing a crime.'”
He also addressed rumors that he and Amanda went public with their fling because of an alleged video that caught them engaging in some PDA inside his NYC apartment.
“I haven’t seen it but I’ve heard from credible sources it does [exist],” West said. “It’s very illegal, I’d like to note.”

He continued, “From what I’ve been told it was Amanda and I canoodling in my apartment from one of my neighbors across the street. That’s what kinda kicked off everything into panic, rush mode.”
But as the dust from the scandal continues to settle following West’s departure from the series, West is enjoying his time with Amanda. And it sounds like the pair are getting more serious.
West confirmed he’s met the 34-year-old’s parents, who he called “lovely” before adding that Amanda’s dad Frank Batula was “great.”
And, yes, West believes their connection will go the distance. When asked where he sees himself in two years, he replied “in Amanda’s backyard.”
