Watch: Hailee Steinfeld Details Biggest Lesson Her, Josh Allen’s Baby Girl Has Taught Her So Far
Hailee Steinfeldknows it takes true grit to be a parent.
And the 29-year-old is determined to make sure she savors each second of her baby girl’s childhood. In fact, she shared a glimpse of her summer plans with her 2-month-old daughter, whom she shares with husband Josh Allen.
“The goal is to just be incredibly present and truly soak up every moment,” she explained in a Substack livestream for her Beau Society newsletter on June 17. “Because life happens and life moves fast anyway, and I now fully understand what every parent ever has said of, like, you blink and it all just goes by so fast. It is so very true.”
While it may seem like a simple goal, the Sinners star explained what inspired her to really enjoy this moment of her baby’s childhood.
“My algorithm has turned to all things baby recently,” she said, “and I keep getting served that video that breaks down sort of like basically childhood over several … summers.”
As a result, the True Grit actress realized, “This is the only summer that she will be a baby, baby, and this will be the only summer that I have her in my arms. By next summer, she’ll be running around.”
Indeed, Steinfeld has been relishing in these early days of motherhood, sharing that her kid has already taught her important lessons.

“One of the most unexpected things I’ve learned from my daughter is the importance of modeling unconditional self-love,” Steinfeld said in a June 12 Beau Society newsletter. “I’ve realized that how I see myself is how she’ll see herself. It’s that simple.”
Still, Steinfeld remarked that she is “learning what that looks like in practice.” After all, it was only in April that the “Love Myself” singer and Buffalo Bills quarterback welcomed their baby girl.
“We’re feeling incredibly grateful and blessed and savouring these early moments,” the couple shared in a newsletter post on April 2. “Thank you so much for the love and well wishes.”
