Paul Walter Hauser, an acting star and professional wrestler, spoke out against Roman Reigns’ recent appearance at UFC Freedom 250.
On Sunday night, Reigns was spotted with Paul “Triple H” Levesque at the UFC event, which took place on the South Lawn of the White House. While Roman’s cousin Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson reportedly turned down an invite to the event, the OTC showed up and smiled for cameras.
The appearance by the WWE World Heavyweight Champion at the event drew an immediate reaction from wrestling fans, even though he has spoken in the past about his support for President Donald Trump.
Hauser was among those who seemingly took exception to Reigns being at the event. In a message posted on social media, he called the WWE star an “actual dork” while also referencing how infrequently Reigns wrestles.
“Is this where you are when you’re never wrestling?” Hauser wrote on X (Twitter). “Why do guys like Darby Allin and Kenny Omega wrestle every single week, and yet, they don’t ask us to ‘acknowledge them’? Could it be that the work begets the acknowledgement?”
The Golden Globe winner concluded his message by stating, “Enjoy the field trip, you actual dork.”
Hauser has made appearances for AEW and has competed in independent promotions such as Pro Wrestling REVOLVER, PROGRESS Wrestling, and Ring of Honor. He is currently signed with Major League Wrestling.
As for acting, Hauser is known for his roles in the Black Bird miniseries, as well as for films such as Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere, The Fantastic Four: First Steps, and I, Tonya.
Hauser isn’t the only mainstream celebrity to take a dig at Reigns’ appearance at UFC Freedom 250. Conor McGregor, a UFC superstar who has dabbled in acting, reacted to the TKO Group’s X post about Roman attendance by simply writing: “Who?”
