Major League Wrestling is back, baby! MLW didn’t go on a hiatus in general, but televised footage did. They have been touring with live events taped for the return of weekly Fusion episodes. The season premiere is Saturday night (May 30, 2026).
Let’s start with a quick recap of last time MLW aired. Battle Riot VIII (video) was the feature attraction, and the MLW World Heavyweight Championship went to the winner. That winner was Killer Kross. Kross entered the Royal Rumble style match as #1, and he went the distance. The new world champion surged in the end for the final four eliminations on Donovan Dijak, Bishop Dyer, Alexander Hammerstone, and Matt Riddle.
On the undercard, Kushida won the MLW World Middleweight Championship, then he turned heel to join the Contra Unit. Also of note, Mads Krugger dumped Contra, but their numbers remain strong.
MLW Fusion comes back with a two-hour season premiere. The advertised lineup includes:
