WWE’s Clash in Italy is something of a snakebit card, with both Sol Ruca and Jacob Fatu suffering through injuries that has led to questions regarding their status for the show. They’re both in major title matches, and the timing couldn’t be worse. The rest of the card is strong, but there’s one way WWE could make it even stronger if necessary.
Santino Marella.
There were rumors recently that there was actually a pitch within the company to bring him in for the show, considering the way he was introduced to the main roster all the way back in 2007. He was a surprise plant in the crowd in Milan who won the Intercontinental championship from Umaga.
Why not do something fun like that again all these years later when he’s an acting authority in TNA but still maintains friendly relations with WWE?
There’s also this:
He’s in the city where WWE will hold its latest international event. Think of the pop if his music hits the loudspeakers.
Do it!
Editor’s note: An earlier version of this post had Marella beating the wrong opponent in his Milan debut. It’s been corrected, and we apologize for any confusion.
