Brock Lesnar is returning to the ring this weekend at WWE Clash In Italy, but claims he is somehow still retired. Let’s see what today’s rumors have to say about it!

WWE is doing this weird thing where Paul Heyman and Brock Lesnar both claim that The Beast is technically retired even though he is returning so soon after WrestleMania 42 to fight Oba Femi in a rematch this weekend at Clash In Italy. WWE’s phrasing has led some folks to believe maybe this will be a one-off return match for Lesnar, and he will go back into retirement after this weekend.
It’s probably wise not to fall for any of that shoot retirement chatter. Per WrestleVotes Radio, WWE has plans for Lesnar to make more appearances following Clash In Italy. However, he’s not currently scheduled for Saturday Night’s Main Event in July at Madison Square Garden.
There have been previous rumors about Brock’s actual retirement happening in August at WWE’s two-night SummerSlam event at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minnesota. If it’s true that WWE has more dates planned for Brock after Clash In Italy, the biggest party of the summer stands out as the obvious place for another Lesnar match.

In this scenario, Omega wins the world title in Montreal at the new AEW Redemption pay-per-view in July, while Ospreay wins the men’s Owen Hart Tournament.
- For whatever it’s worth, Meltzer speculates that Hangman Page vs. MJF will also be booked on the All In card if the above scenario plays out.
- Sources familiar with WWE’s creative plans told WrestleVotes that Brock Lesnar, Roman Reigns, and Rhea Ripley are viewed internally as favorites to win at Clash In Italy.
- Votes heard there was a pitch in WWE creative for TNA star Santino Marella to make an appearance at Clash In Italy.
- The outlet also claims that several Hollywood names have “expressed strong interest” in making a movie out of Natalya’s memoir, The Last Hart Beating. This includes interest from an “A-list production company.”
- Fightful Select indicates that TKO’s original plan to run a AAA Verano de Escándalo PLE is “more fluid” now that TripleMania 34 is scheduled for two nights. It looks like Saturday, July 25, is the most likely date for this AAA PLE, if it happens.
- Meltzer mentioned that AEW’s Double or Nothing was a “huge success” on pay-per-view. He thinks it has a chance to rank among the six highest buy rates in AEW history.
