They won the belts at WrestleMania 42 last month in Las Vegas, and their second defense of the WWE Women’s Tag Team championship is scheduled for this upcoming Monday (May 18) on Raw against The Judgment Day’s Roxanne Perez & Raquel Rodriguez.
It’s about time Brie Bella and Paige got a team name, right?
Well, how about “Scream Mode”? It combines the “Brie Mode!” Bella taunt everyone loves to hate, and Paige’s old “Scream for Me” slogan. The latter mostly appeared on t-shirts, and “Scream Mode” has two of them:
Not gonna sweat the team name too much, myself. They’re a makeshift pairing, and nobody gets too long a reign with those titles.
The merch, though?
The logo’s okay, I suppose. It conveys the mix-and-match nature of their team without being too busy or obnoxious. I’d never wear it on a shirt, but full disclosure — I haven’t bought a WWE-licensed shirt in almost ten years, or whenever they started making them out of a cotton/sandpaper blend.
The other design is just “no”. Whatever charm the logo had is destroyed by the weird font choices, and you can do Bratz fan-art or anime/manga versions of Brie and Paige. Not whatever weird hybrid of both seems to have attempted.
