“I can’t let her go back to that country…” Well Go USA has revealed an official trailer for Broken Land, a Texas thriller marking the feature directorial debut of filmmaker J.T. Walker. This originally premiered at the 2025 Florida Film Festival last year and will be out to watch right on VOD starting in June this summer. A modern-day Western that follows a reclusive rancher whose life changes when an injured, pregnant young migrant takes refuge on his land. David Morse stars as Carson Tidwell, who wants nothing more than to be left alone on his rural Texas ranch. When he accidentally shoots a pregnant migrant worker crossing his land, he feels compelled to protect her from his estranged Border Patrol agent son. As she recovers, a bond forms that ultimately heals them both. Also starring newcomer Jaklyn Bejarano and Bill Heck. Not the first story like this – there have been plenty of migrants in Texas stories in many films.
