WWE NXT RESULTS AND LIVE BLOG FOR MAY 12
Sean here, because Claire’s allowed to have a life, okay!?!?!
Now, let’s NXT. And that means starting with women’s tag action immediately after Booker T and Vic Joseph welcome us to the PC.
Tatum Paxley & Lizzy Rain vs. Nikkita Lyons & Zaria
Things started fast with Zaria and Rain getting the nod for their respective teams. They locked up at the bell, but Rain wasted no time showing off her speed advantage by nailing Zaria with a dropkick. Paxley tagged in and took Zaria’s head metaphoically off with a knee for a quick near fall.
Lyons entered to try and swing momentum, but Tatum caught her with a kick through the ropes. Paxley got another two count back in the ring.
Rain re-entered and helped clothesline Lyons to the floor over the top rope, with Paxley following right behind. The heels took control on the outside and, during the break, kept Zaria isolated.
Back from commercial, Zaria finally muscled up Paxley for what looked like a chokeslam, but Paxley countered into a slick roll-up for another near fall. Zaria planted Paxley with a backbreaker before Lyons tagged in and slowed things down with a submission. That only delayed the inevitable comeback.
The match turned when Lyons reached for Zaria in the corner. Instead of taking the tag, Zaria hopped off the apron and left her partner stranded. That hesitation was all Rain and Paxley needed. Rain tagged back in, blasted Lyons with Thunder Struck, and picked up the win.

Backstage, Wren Sinclair admitted to Kendal Grey that she was worried about becoming a distraction in Grey’s chase for the NXT Women’s title — or worse, seeing their friendship implode the way things did between Sol Ruca and Zaria. Grey reassured her partner that wouldn’t happen, but the conversation didn’t stay calm for long once Lola Vice showed up looking to stir the pot.
After lots of promo, including for the “first-ever two-night” Triplemania (there have been multiple nights of AAA’s big event since 2021, but history doesn’t count pre-WWE). Then, hey, it’s Lince Dorado! Oh, he’s getting fed to EVIL…
Naraku vs. Lince Dorado
The Lucha House Partier turned player/coach got a little offense in with a crossbody off the ropes and a chop or two, but he mostly got slammed to the mat, elbowed while he was on the ground, booted into the corner, and STO-ed in a matter of minutes.
