“What exactly are you searching for?” GKids has debuted a second official trailer for the US release of the animated film Decorado (you can view the first trailer). The third feature directed by Spanish animation filmmaker Alberto Vázquez, Decorado played at Fantastic Fest, Sitges, London, Tokyo, & other film festivals last fall. Now hitting US theaters starting this May – and it looks like a doozy! Another one to watch out for this summer. The story follows Arnold, a mouse in midlife crisis, who sees his world as artificial theater set. As personal troubles mount, his suspicion of living in a fake reality leads him to search for what’s authentic. Adapted from the acclaimed 2016 short film (which we posted) also by director Alberto Vázquez (Birdoby, Unicorn Wars), Decorado blends biting humor with haunting beauty in a darkly comedic odyssey through our era of social control, manufactured realities, and the quest for authentic human connection. The English dub version has the voices of David Goldstein as Arnold, Marissa Parness as María, Brian Maillard as Duck Roni. I like how trippy & wild this story gets in all the footage at the end of the trailer below. Enjoy. // Continue Reading ›
