Trick Williams acts like a heel but is treated like a babyface by fans, and even largely treated as such by WWE with his entrance and overall presentation. If anything he’s the cool heel you can’t help but be entertained by because he’s just so deeply charismatic at all times.
I mean, look at this guy:
I don’t think you’re supposed to cheer this guy but that video alone makes me want to cheer him over literally any other wrestler on the entire roster.
Michael Fairman asked him if he’s going to be working heel or face in the wake of his United States championship victory at WrestleMania 42 and this is how he responded:
“Ain’t no heel or no face, man. Trick Willy just gonna be Trick Willy. The crowd can decide what they want, but I’ma be me regardless.”
This man is a treasure and whether fans cheer or boo him he’s headed straight for the top of the card. Let’s hope he stays true to his words here and Trick Slaps everyone along the way.
